Environmental Reporting

Environmental Reporting Solution

At Lim Kim Hai Electric, we aim to deliver solutions to ensure that collecting data for ESG Environmental Reporting is automated, efficient, accurate, and supports better decision-making for a company’s daily operations.

There are four main areas to address when submitting mandatory climate disclosures for ESG (environment), including greenhouse gas emissions, energy, water, and waste.

We offer smart meters, sensors, bridges, and gateways, as well as integration into a user-friendly software that can be used remotely on any screen. Discover the range of solutions we offer by exploring the Core Environmental Reporting Metrics and the specialized tools we provide to help you track, manage, and reduce your company’s environmental impact.

01. Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Greenhouse gases (GHGs) are gases that trap heat in the Earth’s atmosphere, contributing to global warming and climate change. The main GHGs include carbon dioxide (CO₂), methane (CH₄), and nitrous oxide (N₂O), which are primarily emitted from energy use, industrial activities, and waste management. Under the SGC Core ESG Metrics, companies must measure and report their GHG emissions, often categorized into:’

  • Scope 1 – Direct emissions from owned or controlled sources (ex: emissions from logistics or delivery fleet)
  • Scope 2 – Indirect emissions from purchased electricity (ex: electricity consumed by office & warehouse facilities)
  • Scope 3 – Other indirect emissions from supply chains and business activities.

Carbon Footprint Analysis Tool

  • Forget complex spreadsheets.
Use a tool that calculates the total amount of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) emissions resulting from activities or processes by simply plugging in numbers
  • Simple, user friendly interface
Reports are generated instantly, along with recommendations to improve your processes and reduce carbon footprint.
  • Explore decarbonisation opportunities
Connect with peers and solution providers to explore green technology opportunities to meet your sustainability goals

02. Energy Efficiency

Energy consumption refers to the total amount of energy used by a company for its day to day operations, including the electricity that powers lighting, HVAC, appliances, and other devices & machinery.  In Singapore, HVAC is responsible for about 60% of energy consumption in a commercial building, with lighting being the 2nd largest contributor at 20%.

Monitoring energy consumption is crucial for understanding where and how energy is used, identifying inefficiencies, and uncovering opportunities to reduce costs.  Smart energy monitoring employs connected devices to provide up-to-date meter readings.  Move beyond manual reading & calculating total energy consumption with utility bills with a energy monitoring solution.  For automated savings & responsive infrastructure to lower consumption, consider smart lighting or an energy management solution (EMS).

03. Water Efficiency

Water management under the SGC Core ESG Metrics focuses on how companies track, use, and conserve water resources. It includes measuring total water consumption, identifying sources (e.g., municipal supply, recycled water), and monitoring discharge practices.

By prioritizing water conservation and responsible usage, companies contribute to long-term environmental resilience and business sustainability.

04. Waste Management

Waste generation refers to the total amount of waste produced by a company, including both hazardous and non-hazardous materials. It encompasses waste from operations, production processes, and office activities, with a focus on how waste  managed—whether through recycling, reuse, incineration, or landfill disposal.

By monitoring and minimizing waste, companies will reduce pollution, landfills, and support long-term environmental goals.
